Bermuda: Outdoor Activities
From May through September, Bermuda's pink-sand beaches and turquoise waters are ideal for sunning and swimming. In addition to this surf-and-turf, visitors can enjoy a multitude of year-round activities, from golfing, tennis, and horseback riding to sailing and scuba diving.
With more courses per square acre than anywhere else in the world, Bermuda is a mecca for the avid golfer. Spring-like weather from November to March is perfect for seasonal training. Eight championship courses offer spectacular vistas with challenging layouts enjoyed by all skill levels.
Surrounded by a 200-square mile coral-reef plateau, it only makes sense that Bermuda has more than 100 wrecks for scuba divers to explore. From Confederate paddlewheel steamers to cargo steamers and nineteenth-century French frigates, Bermuda's wrecks comprise an underwater wonderland for the adventurous. Considered the region's healthiest, island reefs showcase immense brain corals and brilliant sea fans. From November to March, visibility reaches up to 200 feet.
